I have driven past Mulligan's Restaurant many times. I notice it when I am stuck in traffic on Cleveland St. I kept thinking, I really should see if it is any good. On Saturday, Chuckie and I were talking about dinner somewhere. He reminded me that I always go on about the restaurant, so off we went.
It was well worth it, although we could hardly walk out the door. Started with a pint of Guinness for me, and Kilkenny for him. Then entree, Boxty Pancakes for me, Guinness Pie for him. My mouth waters just thinking about it again. Yeah. And to finish it all off I had the Chicken Mulligans and Brett polished off the Lamb Shanks. Another pint each and we. were. done.
It was one of the best meals I've had in Sydney. The restaurant itself is quaint and cosy, with a genuine Irish atmosphere and great service. Letting the accents wash over me was comforting, warm. We'll be going back, to be sure (I'll have to take Robo and Quirk). Oh and they do a big breakfast on Sundays too.
