My Aunt sometimes recommends books for me to read. They are nearly always non fiction. Last year the best one was "Seasons of a Man's Life". It was so good, I still think about buying a copy for myself. The year before it was "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". I learned a lot from that book, but I am nowhere near rich yet! I am out of debt though.

So with this pattern in mind I approached her latest offering with some enthusiasm. It was another book on finance, written in 1990. It was a bit same same, until I stumbled upon this paragraph:

"I must confess I find it hard to foresee any such spectacular gains in the residential property market in the next few years."

Wow, how totally fucking wrong can you be? All credibility, lost, right there.

I hope the next book recommendation reaches the high bar previously set.
