I've been doing some thinking lately. Big decisions, you know career, living location, relationships etc. This is not going to be a post about that! But one aspect that I have put some thought into is transport.

I love not having a car. I love being able to walk to work. I love having everything in the city so close.

1. But just occasionally, a car would be really useful.
2. On very rare occasions, a car is nearly essential.

Sometimes, in scenario 1, I just get a cab. For scenario 2, I book a rental. But I have realised that not owning a car is preventing some activities. Activities like; joining a sporting team, rollerblading in centennial park, and visiting friends. Things that I wouldn't catch a cab for. What I've found is this solution:

Car sharing. I heard about it a couple of years ago, but somehow it came into my mind again recently. I am seriously thinking of giving it a go. It seems like a bloody good idea.....
