Sunday was bloody brilliant, even if I do say so myself! I managed to weasle my way into the 64th performance of Handel's Messiah on Sunday. Snorks is one eclectic mofo, race cars by day, classical music performances at night. That's right kiddies, snorks actually sang in the Sydney Town Hall! Hehe. Even managed to get some fans to come along this year. At $27 a ticket, it is actually quite a steal to see a performance of that magnatitude. For all those that are weeping in despair for having missed it, a doco will be screening on the ABC;

I'll be the youngest, curliest haired bass choirester there. What's that, did I make a mistake? No no, my years of extensive musical performances actually means that I was right, the 150 other vocalists just need to catch up. Yeah right, but the fuck-ups were minimal on Sunday, brilliant! Seriously though, you know that feeling of ice up and down the spine? No, no the good one. Yeah, well Sunday afternoon was all about that. Shame I'll be out of here this time next year.

The other recent highlight was being invited to join the Beethoven Society. See, I mustn't really be that bad kiddies. Next year, with any luck I will be able to perform my two mostest favourite pieces of music, eva. The Beethoven's 9th and Mozart's Requiem. Total fucking bliss, seriously.

Hmmm, in case you're wondering, although I perform religious choral pieces and live in a presbytery, I'm not actually catholic, totally lapsed. It really is a lamb dressed in my clothing scenario. Do be careful, you've been warned.

I will get around to talking about the jazz days of "Moanin' ", the other day. You'll love it, it will bore everyone shitless. Sweet. Ohh and merry christmas and all that shit.
